Assembly, Use & Care Guide

FLEIGIN SB16-B1P-V1 / Getting started

From the box to your first clear path.

Follow the pictured assembly steps, learn the controls and keep your snow shovel ready for the next snowfall.

Start the six-step setup
FLEIGIN snow shovel components, two batteries, charger, auxiliary handle and hex key laid out for assembly.

Lay out your kit.

Check the model label and inspect every part before you begin.

What you will use

  • Motor housing and three-section shaft with main handle
  • Auxiliary handle and its side knob
  • Two fixing screws and the supplied hex key
  • Two 3.0Ah / 63Wh batteries and one charger

Before connecting anything

Keep both batteries out of the tool. Inspect the housing, wiring, shaft joints and fasteners for damage.

If anything is missing, damaged or unclear, contact FLEIGIN Support before continuing. Do not force a part into place.

Assemble in six steps.

Follow the order below. Keep the battery removed through steps 1–5. Select a step image to open a larger view in a new tab.

  1. Aligning the two electrical connectors before assembling the FLEIGIN snow shovel.
    Step 01

    Connect the wiring

Align the locating features on the two electrical connectors and push them fully together.

Check: The connection is secure. The cable is not twisted, stretched or pinched.

  2. Lower shaft aligned with the socket in the FLEIGIN motor housing.
    Step 02

    Insert the lower shaft

Insert the lower shaft straight down into the motor-housing socket until fully seated.

Check: Both fixing holes are aligned. Keep the wiring clear of the joint.

  3. Using the supplied hex key during screw tightening; both screws must be fully seated before use.
    Step 03

    Secure both screws

Insert both fixing screws from the front. Tighten them evenly with the supplied hex key.

Check: Both screws are fully seated and the shaft cannot move in the socket. The photo shows tightening in progress.

  4. Turning a locking collar to secure a joint in the three-section shaft.
    Step 04

    Lock the shaft joints

Straighten all three shaft sections, then turn both locking collars until tight.

Check: Both collars are locked and neither joint can separate. These are fixed sections, not a telescoping shaft.

  5. Adjusting the auxiliary handle and tightening its side knob.
    Step 05

    Fit the auxiliary handle

Clip the handle over the shaft, move it to a comfortable position and tighten the side knob.

Check: The auxiliary handle cannot slide or rotate during use.

  6. Sliding a battery onto the handle rail while keeping the trigger clear.
    Step 06

    Install one battery last

Recheck the wiring, shaft, screws, collars and auxiliary handle. Only then slide one charged battery down the handle rail until the latch clicks.

Check: Pull lightly to confirm the battery is locked. Keep fingers off the trigger and hands and feet away from the auger.

Before any adjustment: release the trigger, remove the battery and wait for all moving parts to stop. Never touch the auger with a battery installed.

Charge indoors.

Use only the supplied battery packs and charger, or approved identical replacements.

A dry, clear charging space

Place the battery and charger on a hard, dry, noncombustible surface in a ventilated indoor area. Keep flammable materials away and leave the charger vents clear.

Check the charger label and follow the manual when connecting it to a power supply.

Let the battery settle first

Let a cold battery warm naturally into the charging range. After use, let a hot battery cool to normal room temperature. Never use an external heat source.

Do not use a battery or charger that is damaged, swollen, leaking, wet or operating abnormally.

Aim. Grip. Clear.

Wear eye protection, slip-resistant footwear, gloves and fitted winter clothing. Keep children, pets and bystanders away.

Hand on the snow-direction knob. Remove the battery and wait for the auger to stop before adjustment.

1. Check the area and aim

Remove stones, cords, mats, toys and other objects. With the battery removed and the auger stopped, turn the top knob to direct snow left or right.

Aim away from people, animals, vehicles, windows, doors and roads.

Close view of the safety switch and trigger on the main handle.

2. Start with both controls

When checks and adjustments are complete, install one battery. Keep the auger clear of the ground, objects and people. Hold both handles.

Press and hold the safety switch, then pull the trigger. Do not bypass either control.

One hand on the main handle and the other on the auxiliary handle during operation.

3. Move at a steady pace

Keep one hand on the main handle and the other on the auxiliary handle. Maintain stable footing and let the auger clear snow without forcing the tool.

Reduce your feed rate in heavy or wet snow. Do not force the tool into solid ice, frozen banks or hidden objects.

Which surfaces should I clear?

Use on approved paved surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, pavers and stone walkways. Never use on smooth ice or unpaved muddy ground.

Gravel, grass and dirt have additional restrictions in the full manual. Do not assume the same setup is suitable for every surface.

Where can I check the remaining charge?

Press the charge-level button on the machine. More illuminated LEDs indicate more remaining charge. The battery pack itself has no indicator lights.

Finish safely. Store dry.

Disconnect the battery before cleaning, checking or storing the tool.

If snow blocks the auger

  1. Release the trigger and place the tool in a stable position.
  2. Remove the battery completely.
  3. Wait until all moving parts have stopped.
  4. Clear the blockage from a safe direction with a suitable nonmetal tool.
  5. Inspect the auger, guards, fasteners and wiring. Remove all tools before reinstalling the battery.

Never use hands or feet. Do not use a screwdriver, metal tool or sharp object. A clean-out tool is not included.

After every use

  1. Release the trigger, remove the battery and wait for all movement to stop.
  2. Remove snow and dirt with a soft brush and dry cloth. Do not pressure wash or immerse the tool.
  3. Inspect the auger, scraper, guards, shaft joints, fasteners, wiring and safety labels.
  4. Let the tool dry in a ventilated area before storing it.
  5. Store the battery separately with its terminals protected.
How should I store the battery for longer periods?

For long-term storage, keep the battery at 40–60% charge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Do not leave it fully discharged. Keep the terminals away from keys, coins, screws and other metal objects.

What if the tool shuts down in cold weather?

Remove the battery and let it warm naturally in a dry indoor area. Make sure it is dry before reinstalling it. Never use an external heat source.

If it remains abnormal, stop using it and contact support.

What should I check before transport?

Remove the battery, protect its terminals and secure the tool against movement, impact and crushing. Keep the manual with the product.

What if a joint, handle or control is loose or damaged?

Keep the battery removed and stop using the tool. Tighten loose fasteners according to the manual; have damaged parts inspected and repaired by qualified service personnel using approved replacements. Never bypass a safety control.
